Rachel was rocking in the rockng chair on the porch of the Big House when she felt a little weird. Like when she would blank out and people would be standing around her asking for the quest again or the prophecy. She picked up a blow horn that was near by and blew it. The campers knew she had a quest or prophefcy coming up when it blew. She kept her arm up blowing the blow horn until her arm was tired. She put it down and waited for the campers to gather until she let the Oracle's spirit take full control of her.
Lauren, Luncia, Tally, and Annie came running from practice after hearing the blow horn. They came to a Rachel just barly holding out from letting the Oracle speak through her. It looked like she was waiting for the rest of the campers.

Wolfezth was lying in his bed being lazy, kicking back and making plans for future Capture the Flag matches trying to determine the best routes through the forest would be with who and why when he heard the horn. He was dressed in silver shorts with no shirt on. He had his black running shoes on despite being in his bunk out of force of habit. Holy hell, a quest! It's about damn time I can feel good about doing some god's dirty laundry! Woohoo, I get to risk life and limb for some stupid and usually abstract or irrelevant cause; gotta love it! I SO love my 'volunteer' work!
Wolfezth quickly strapped his greatsword to his back, set his sabres and bastard swords on opposite sides of his belt and ran outside toward the Big House. His running shoes were kicking up dirt due to the ferocity and speed of how he ran. When he got there, he noticed the rookie girls already there and when he looked back he saw Hydros running toward the Big House as well. Wolfezth got as close as he could without disturbing the Oracle, wanting to hear the words loud and clear instead of muffled like last time. So few able-bodied campers with us! We'll probably have to take a damn rookie if we get a proper quest, and that'll suck. Wonder who this'll go to? Probably Hydros with him being the senior camper and all. Wonder what kind of quest it'll be too, maybe a recon mission or a search and destroy like most minor ones. Probably a three on one mission like to kill a minotaur or something; blaringly unoriginal but posing a threat to human society outside or making a god angry. Hope it's the former rather than the latter. He thought as he cracked his knuckles idly while waiting for the quest to be doled out.

Hydros was hanging onto the climbing wall, his shirt had been burnt clean off in his second hour on the wall, the price for his lapse in concentration. Hydros focused all his energy into one huge leap of faith across a recently formed chasm in the wall. Hydros took flight, he reached out with his left hand ( the one closest to the wall) as he got closer to the fast approaching rock face.
The horn blew in the distance, signalling a quest or a prophecy. It distracted him, only for a moment, but that was all it took, he crashed into the wall and fell down to the waiting crash mats. "Oww...."
He picked himself up and made sure his sword was still secure, and began running to Rachel's house.

Keiran was sitting in his room drawing in a pad. He had just drawn a giant kingdom surrounded my dead soldiers. It was his fathers castle. Keiran was about to begin coloring when he heard a horn blow. He knew what this meant and so did all of the campers, a quest. A quest hadn't been given in a long time and Keiranwas surprised to hear the horn. He grabbed his black sword and ran to Rachel's house.
Madelene was combing her brown hair when she heard a horn break the silence of the Aphrodite cabin. For a second she didn't recognize the horn but then she realized what it meant. Rachel had a quest. Madelene grabbed her spear and ran to Rachel's house, not waiting for the rest of the campers.
Cyrus was shooting arrows at a couple Pepsi cans when he heard a piercing screech ring out in the distance. He realized what this meant, a quest. Cyrus ran to the pepsi can which he had just shot and withdrew his arrow. He put it in his quiver and ran to Rachel's house, wondering who would recieve the quest.
Aaron was standing at a workbench beginning to meld a sword which would burn when someone was hit with it. Right when he was about to enchant it he heard the quest horn. He ran to his table and grabbed his bow, frostbite. He also grabbed a quiver of arrows and began his run to Rachel's home. He wondered what the reason of the quest was.
They were all relieved when they heard they were not chosen, but were worried for the campers who were.

Rachel saw that most of the campers were here now, but not all of them. The Oracle was strong though and finally got into control. Rachel's eyes turned green and the color swirled in them, like there were clouds moving. A green gas came out of her mouth when she opened it to start talking. The gas came out when ever she opened her mouth and swirled arouns the gathered people's feet and legs. Then she started talking, and it sounded like three Rachels were talking. "A quest is needed by the Gods and Faiths. Three of thee are to travel to the dry land with the K in the states, and finish off the left over war. A small number of demi s on the evil's side still run a muck. Finish them off! The gods have lost hope in them and are ashamed by them. Be wary for monsters are there too," and with that the green mist clumped up and formed into gas snakes. They headed toward the three people that were going. The first one went to Wolf, then Hydros, and finally Lauren. After circling around them three times, the snakes went poof and Rachel's eyes went back to normal. She then started to fall.
Lauren was surprised she was going but got out of it after pats on her back by her three best friends and seeing Rachel falling. She ran over and caught Rachel, easing her into the rocking chair.

Wolfezth wasn't even slightly surprised when the gas came out, because he was quite used to it now. It was like commonplace once you've seen it so many times. He listened to the prophecy intently, and shrugged his shoulders at the end of it. He idly wondered where the green went and looked around. He was only mildly surprised to find he was selected, not surprised at all that Hydros was going, and more than a little surprised that Lauren was going. "She's a damn rookie, a brand-new one at that!" he muttered absentmindedly as he mulled over the quest in his mind. Two lands in the states came to mind, Kentucky and Kansas; and Wolfezth knew from experience that Kentucky was not drier than Kansas. He started to go forward when he saw Rachel falling, but stopped once Lauren caught her. "Well kiddos, looks like we're going to mop up some crusty Kronos lackeys." He said in a very calm and almost bored tone. "C'mon, we gotta get preparations ready," he paused for a moment and looked at Lauren directly; "Rookie, think carefully about what you're gonna bring." Then he turned to Hydros, "Hydros, don't weigh yourself down with redicules amounts of booze."
Wolfezth, not waiting for a response pushed through the small crowd to his cabin where he already had his Quest backpack almost completely ready, just in case. He made it to the cabin within seconds of fast walking and it contained hard rations for two weeks, three water canteens, a bottle of vodka mixed with coke, two flashlights, extra clothes, a Chicago Bears cap which he fished out and put on for anticipation for sunlight on some missions, sharpening stones for his swords, and some paper and charcoal. There was still some space left in it, so Wolfezth found his iPod and stuffed it in there and found some sunglasses to put on to protect his eyes from the sun. Whether it was Kentucky or Kansas, it had one hell of a sun. He unstrapped his greatsword and set it down on his bed because he didn't think he'd need it on this mission due to the lack of large enemies. He pulled his bastard sword from the right side of his belt and set it on the bed too as he put a plain gray beater on before strapping the bastard sword to his back in place of the longsword. He then switched one of his sabres to the right side of his belt instead of both on one side. He then searched around for some battle armor, knowing if there were demigods he'd need some. He quickly found a right arm brace and stuffed it in his backpack as well. He also found some spaulders that would also protect his neck, which was a plus. They were flat and form fitting with his shoulders so they wouldn't draw too much attention to himself so they were perfect. Being pretty much set, he zipped up his backpack and slung is across his shoulders and with his newfound beater and cap plus the backpack on his back he walked back outside to meet up with the others for the quest.

Hydros smiled, as the gaseous snake circled his body. He was still covered in sweat from being on the wall for nearly five hours. "Bout time we got us a quest round here."
He noted that Wolf and Lauren had been selected as well, he wasn't surprised at his selection though, as the only child of Ares in the camp he was basically first picked for anything involving combat. He looked at Lauren with a gaze that could pierce steel. "Don't get killed kid, I don't want to have to carry another child through those gates."
He drew his blade, flourished it, threw it in air sending sparkles of broken light around the crowd and caught it again. "I have dibs of a any children of Ares, bout time I made my mark in the family." He gave a sly grin and sheathed his sword. He turned on his heels and began to walk towards the cabins and then looked back and grinned. "Anyone want a last chance drink before we set out to get killed?"

Lauren ran to her cabin and got a back pack to put her stuff in. She quickly changed into a short sleeves blue and white shirt, cream burmudas, and tennis shoes. She put a second pair of clothes in her pack, two canteens of water, a week's ration of dry food, a flash light, and an extra knife, she also put her picalo in there with some sheet music. She had enchanted it to come back to her if she ever lost it, and it would return only if she had a bag or her pack for it to return to. She found her sturdy leather belt and put her two arming swords made out of celestial Bronze , each on one side, in fact all of her weaponds were made out of celestial bronze, but the wood on the arrows would still hurt if it hit a mortal. She had a bandana over her head and put her back pack on. She then put her quiver with thirty or so arrows in it. She slung her bow across her back. I'll show the seniors how well I do. They won't doubt rookies like me for a while! She thought to herself as she walked over to where Wolf was. She knew how the seniors thought about rookies. She also wondered if she would hear from her dad, Apollo after this. Most likely not but there was always hope he would have Hermes drop a letter off. She had her sunglasses in her pack, and some sun screen. She wondered if being a child of Apollo ment she didn't get sun burns, but better safe than sorry.
Lauren then was beside Wolf, she decided that Kansas was where they needed to travel. "No drink for me," Lauren said to Hydros.

Wolfezth walked out to find Hydros facing the small crowd and said; "Get in and get your stuff; no need to show off mate. Quests are serious business so I suggest a suit and tie and probably some food and water." as he passed him. His slow walk allowed Lauren time to go to her cabin and pack as well as come out and be there before him. He shrugged and stood beside her; and said to her "There are two big lands that start with a K in the United States of America, Kansas and Kentucky unless I'm missing something. And Kentucky, although it has one HELL of a sun is NOT dry by any means unless it's a drought; which is not now. Kansas on the other hand is a flatland with little to no rain which makes it obviously dry. That is, unless it's a town; and if it is we'll have to do a hell of a lot of searching. Now we just gotta wait for Hydros' lazy ass and we're off." Wolfezth then ruffled Lauren's hair with his left hand and said; "Just watch and learn from us, kiddo. You'll find out the routine in no time insofar is that routine is discarded entirely on our quests." Wolfezth then turned around and yelled; "Hurry up Hydros! You don't need to Styrofoam pack your booze!" After that he turned back to Lauren and said in a cheerful voice, "We'll be leaving quite soon after that 'cause he'll come out yelling at me here in a few seconds, don't worry." Poor rookie's gotta have to endure going on a quest with me and Hydros... That's probably gonna be hell on Earth for a goodie-two-shoes girl like that, but it can't be helped. She can't blame us for it because the Oracle picked the group this time. I'ma hope she doesn't slow us down or get killed though, that'll be another somber moment in camp we don't need.

Hydros looked at Wolf. "yeah yeah, I know, full mafia." He replied with a grin. He found himself in his cabin in moments. It had more space than most cabins, since he was the only Ares in the camp he decided to expand the cabin a little. Hydros opened a rather ornate looking closet.
He walked out of the cabin, wearing a full pinstripe suit, with a black tie and matching trilby. He adjusted his jacket as he scanned the area. His longsword hung at his side as usual, fitting rather well with the suit. He took a deep breath as he lifted his sports bag up and over his shoulder, using the long strap so it hung comfortably behind him and set out to the mess hall.
Upon arriving at the mess hall he grabbed himself a reseal bag and filled it with the beef jerky that he knew was always stashed in the corner, the guy who worked in the kitchen liked his beef jerky and put it in the corner so it wouldn't all get taken at the end of lunch. He stuffed the reseal bag in one of the sports bag pockets and quietly walked out. Once outside he swaggered down to the meeting area, his bag giving off a slight chink as he walked.

Lauren looked at Hydros weirdly as he came out in a suit. Wow, he took Wolf's comment a little too seriously. He'll be sweating like a pig once we're in Kansas. She thought. The way his bag chinked wouldn't help either if they had to be quiet but oh well. That didn't matter that much, it would be Hydros to pay for wearing the suit if he kept it on.

Hydros saw how Lauren looked at him and laughed. "Don't worry kid, I won't be wearing this for the fight, I may be a son of Ares but I'm not suicidal." He smiled softly. "You'll be ok as long as you stick close to Wolf, he may be an ass but he'll make sure you don't die, I mean do you know how hard it is to get a kids corpse across the country without getting caught? It's even harder to get it across national borders." He tugged on the bag strap and it let out another chink. "It's my duelling armour, it might just be one left layered plate arm and a piece of armour that sits on my right shoulder protects my neck. Simple, light and effective... and a bottle of whiskey to celebrate with."

Wolfezth grinned at Lauren's look to Hydros and said as he looked back himself; "Damn, he's really goin' full mafia on us; maybe he'll play the part in trying to get a cheeseburger or something." He paused for a moment, and partly succeeded in imitating Hydros' accented voice; "Hey! I'm the mafia boss here, now if you don't give me a cheeseburger this instant I'ma have this store and you gangbanged from here to 'Jersey." His grin disappeared when Hydros came up and made the dead kid comment and he said quietly; "Don't scare the kid, Hydros; that's what got 'em last time." He asked a little bit more cheerfully about his next comment, "Stick near me? What the hell are you talking about; I'm normally the decoy or the one doing the craziest stunts in order to make sure we win. Rodeo riding a minotaur? That's my job, shooting a bunch of giant scorpions and leading them into an ambush while avoiding the biggest stingers I've ever seen in my life? My job. So I'd really advise you NOT staying near me; because I usually do the most dangerous jobs and the first strikes. Hydros here is usually waiting for 'em in a nice small area where he they can't run like between buildings or something. We'll figure out your role on the way; which is probably backup fire 'cause if there are too many ex-campers there it'll be quicker and most likely less painful with help." He paused for a moment and began walking to the entrance of the camp, where Argos parked whatever they would be using in their quest. "We may as well go now unless y'all want to take a shower or something; which I doubt highly. Hydros, try not to corrupt the youth during the trip and rookie; we'll get to know each other real well before the Quest is over. Love us or hate us; you're stuck with me'n'Hydros 'til the end of the Quest." The more he walked, the more the vehicle at the entrance was in view and soon it was obvious it would take a while to go to Kansas or where ever they were supposed to go; because it was a car. "It's a car, go hop in!" he yelled over his shoulder as he himself opened the passenger seat door and hopped in, backpack on the ground in front of him.

Lauren listened as the two gave her 'tips' on who to be with and what had happen on pther quest. She figured she would decide when it comes to it. She didn't want to waste time so she figured to go up to the blue car. She wasn't sure if she wanted to sit in the back, but just sat down waiting to hear if she should sit here, there, what ever. She sat down and waited for Hydros. This shall be.....interesting, she thought. She wondered if one of the two boys would start complaning 'bout the color. She wished she could drive, then she could see where they were going better, and it would be awesome to drive.
OOC- Like, when they get on the road and start crossing the states, we should make a thread in the western part of the world.

Hydros looked at the car, quizzically. "RX-8 R3... I had a car just like this before." Hydros walked round the car, taking the keys from a peg nearby. He opened the boot and threw his bag in, and for the first time in a long while, he removed his sword from his belt, and placed it in with it. Hydros lent round the car to where Lauren sat patiently and grabbed her bag, and put it in the boot with his. He closed the boot with a thunk and looked at Lauren. "What you waiting for? Get in since your so eager to prove yourself."
He twirled his keys round his finger once, and then walked round to the driver's door. He got in and closed the door, he placed his arm on the dashboard as he slid the key into the ignition and then stopped. "Hold on a minute... This car smells of whiskey, this IS my car! Mr D better not expect these keys back."
He turned the key and the car started up with a roar that died down to a low rumble.
